You Can't Count on Your Neighbors

Here's a strange quirk of maybe just Lees Summit: there are at least four or five different trash collecting companies (not to mention the company that collects grass clippings and tree branches exclusively), which operate not by neighborhood or street, but by house. So on any given street, different houses will have their garbage out on the curb on different days of the week depending on which company picks up their trash. It absolutely boggles the mind. Obviously some weeks I need a little reminding via what the neighbors are doing – and now I can't even count on that!

p.s. Drew called the moving company and our stuff is due to arrive tomorrow! Along with our new dining room table that's being delivered from a local furniture warehouse. Our little home is going to come together in a bit of chaos.
