Setting: Drew and G in the car, driving home from confession.
G: Why aren't you going away, Daddy, and Mama staying home?
D: Well, Daddy thought this would be a good opportunity for Mama, and I encouraged her to go.
G: We're used to you going away [on business trips]. It'd be a lot easier on everybody if Mama stayed home and you went away on this trip. I mean 3 weeks is a lot longer than Mama going to a doctor's appt. I don't think the little ones are going to understand.

Six peaches. Curse the deer for eating half our crop, the tree was so full and heavy, we feared everyday that the trunk would snap.

Haircuts

AhPoh and the girls went for beauty school haircuts and after this experience, I'm going to be cutting the girls' hair from now on. How do they graduate these people!

Z's hair turned out alright. Kind of hard to tell as she squirms a lot, I told the girl simply to even things out. G got the nicest cut, her hairdresser actually took the time to cut layer-by-layer. BB's hairdresser was lazy and made a straight across the bottom cut, which looks sloppy for thick hair like BB's, esp as the bottom's not even. And AhPoh's hair is noticeably longer on the right side and minus the specific texturing she asked for.
