Donut Thursday

It's almost Lent! Celebrated Fat Thursday with donuts (and pigs-in-a-blanket) per Polish tradition.

At 2 Months

We'd guess she's about 14lbs now, loves to talk/coo at people, generally very smiley, somewhat prone to boogers. She has this habit of looking past you when upright, wanting to see what's going on everywhere else: M did that as a baby too.

St Valentine's

We celebrated with the ham we should have had for Christmas, eaten by candlelight, which was difficult for us old fogies. Dessert was raspberries with whipped cream.

Under Pressure

X shut his finger in the front door on Monday, and on Tues after dinner I wondered aloud to Drew whether the nail needed to be drilled to relieve the pressure. Since neither of us had seen it done before, we first tried a heated paper clip, but ended with a small drill bit. Of course X cried the whole time, whether we were touching him or not; M2 unexpectedly started crying too, not out of any sort of sympathy, rather because she thought X's thumb "disease" was catching and that she might have to go through the same agony in the future.

Celebrated with froz dumplings that AhPoh made when she was last here, pigs feet, scallion pancakes, asparagus, celery sticks, rice, and oranges. Very satisfying.
