Birthday

G found him Captain America and Iron Man action figures at second hand; rest of the girls chipped in for a Captain America shield; and Drew and I got him a mini trampoline. We ate hotdogs and had berry shortcakes with whipped cream, which are conveniently "Capkin Merica" colors.

OKC Zoo

Had our first trip to the local zoo -- with neighbors. Fairly busy, apparently it was the last day for public schools so lots of people taking the day off? Before coming home BB wanted to treat her siblings to a bag of fairy floss.

Hat for his cousin's wedding this summer, X is going to be ring bearer.

Shorter

M2 asked for a haircut over the weekend, a repeat of the pixie she had last year; which made M and Z want a haircut. Great for upcoming warm weather.

Greek Plate

Drew and I (and J) on our anniversary date. We had lunch at Greek House in Norman; then we drove over to Blanchard, Newcastle, and Mustang to see the other houses we'd considered buying.

For Mother's Day

Drew and the girls did all the cooking; I received some drawings; a pair of earrings, a handmade shell necklace, and a bunny lapel pin; and a porcelain of Mary.

2nd Annual

Mother's Day weekend backyard camping. Overnight low of 51F / 10C, so thankful for sleeping bags. Two of them had to be kicked out of tent (into house) because they were keeping everyone awake with their silliness.

Ducklings -- Rescue

Caught first sight of Rosie airing her new ducklings! Five of them. Wandered inside our fencing and couldn't immediately find the way out.

And then on their way to creek, three ducklings fell into several open holes of retaining wall, about a meter deep. Drew had to destroy part of wall to reach them.

But they were happily reunited, swimming in the middle of the creek.
