Easter Sunday

Fresh baked cinnamon rolls: I forgot the cinnamon lol.

M2 was a crazed sugar hunter after she figured out what was in the little plastic eggs.

First Communion

First Communion on Divine Mercy Sunday 2014 when Pope John XXIII and Pope John Paul II were canonized. Could it get any better than this?

Garden Hoop House

Completed over the weekend, mainly to keep deer and rodents out.

Best One Yet

This one took me awhile to finish, but oh the results!

Signs of Spring

Tulip magnolia. Last year one measly blossom that I can remember, this year a dozen. We surmise it doesn't get enough sun in its present location.

Mystery plant (to me), which comes back every year.

Sidewalk chalk: partial failure. 1) Tape fell off wet toilet paper tube, chalk mixture leaked out of a few. 2) Pay better attention to plaster, water ratio. Two had fraction of required plaster. Impressed with the color vibrancy.

Homemade Sidewalk Chalk

Friend's birthday party coming up, so we made sidewalk chalk (following this recipe) as present. Still waiting for it to set before peeling toilet paper tubes off. Made some pretty fantastic colors, can't wait to make some more.

Nest Making (2)

Nest Making

G's studying birds, did you know they make ten different kinds of nests? Beautiful weather over the weekend: girls took opportunity to try their skills at mud and grass nests, cushioned with cotton balls.

Snowflake

Starched last night, ready for hanging – as soon as I find my fishing line.

Sneak Peek

Working on another quilt, this time for future godson. This is a true (in my opinion) sampler quilt, because I've got swatches of different crochet stitches connecting the different squares.

Drew's Birthday

Celebrated on Sunday, we made shrimp poboys and beignets, and I made a key lime pie.

BB gifted some holy cards: St Joseph, St Anthony of Padua, and the Infant of Prague.

Funny story about this picture. Right as I was taking it, M2 turned the light out. Girls laughed hysterically at the timing.

G weaved this (from her birthday present). Plan on framing it to go on Drew's office wall. I gifted a set of pocket squares, which hadn't arrived yet, for Drew's suits.
