Last weekend we had the Ws over to BBQ at our house, knowing that they'd probably be gone within the next week or so. It's lucky that things worked out the way they did because their boys were sick earlier in the week, and I didn't go into labor while doing all that unpacking the day before.22 May 2008

The Ws are flying back to Anc this afternoon – and KC is sending them off with one last thunderstorm. (No sun tea today...) It's not as spectacular as the one we encountered some weeks ago (complete with tornado sirens), but thinking on it, I don't recall ever getting the lightning and thunder in Alaska.

Drew (with Sven and little Whitney) is taking after G with the strange picture-taking face.
G discovered turning the hose on herself a few days earlier – and what fun to spray other people as well, like BB and Christian.
The only one who managed not to get entirely wet was Marcus (holding his mommy's hand).
