Often, whenever you offer BB a beverage, new or not, if you're watching closely, you'll see her put her lips to the cup, stick her tongue into the liquid to give it a taste, and then drink from the cup. Even if she takes several drinks from that same cup, she'll first test it with her tongue before consuming it. At first I thought it was a way to gauge temperature, or maybe even to decide whether or not she wanted to drink whatever was in the cup; but now it must be a routine or game of sorts that she continually adheres to.
