Fish of the Day

I've been reading this book (16th ed), a belated welcome-to-Kansas-City gift from Elizabeth, and came across this fish: the crappie (pronounced craw-pee). Have you ever? LOL! And then Drew tells me, in researching the local fish – they're also in Alaska? –, he'd read that the crappie is supposed to be one of the tastier freshwater fish. LOL! Oh the humanity! :) Well they're in season in spring around here so I guess I have to wait to find out whether or not they are tasty.
