Sonny's BBQ, Clermont
Sunday dawned bright and hot while we were in church – at the Mary, Queen of the Universe shrine. We had time to browse the gift shop for a bit, make some purchases, before getting ready to meet another friend for lunch at Sonny's.
That's her oldest daughter Bailey. While we were waiting for our order, she started tying napkin bows on all her toes – and G followed suit. (I wish I had a picture.)
So Sara and I first met back in the DC days, when we were both employed at the USPTO. She was the nurse practitioner in the health office and we would chat whenever I'd pop in to do my pumping (three times a day). Since then, her and her husband got stationed in N.Carolina – he's a proud Marine, who's currently deployed to Iraq – and now they have two lovely daughters Bailey and Taylor, who are about BB and Z's age, respectively. Anyway Sara is from FL and was down visiting her in-laws and would be visiting her parents (in the panhandle) later in the week.
This was a fantastically well-shaded park that a friend of a friend directed us to.
On the way home, we stopped to get some supplies and Aunt Christie hand-sewed some dresses for the girls' wooden dolls.
Do you love M's farmer tan?
Then we went for another swim in the hotel pool. Interestingly, 64% of children liked the hotel swimming pool best out of all the attractions on their Disneyworld vacation.
Look how comfortable Z is in her swim ring. And indeed she seemed more comfortable in the water after just a few days with that thing.
We spend the rest of the evening quietly, watching the new-to-us Princess and the Frog movie.
