Smack 'Em and Rob 'Em

Last night was one of those rare nights when large families turn out to feed everyone ice cream for cheap: six scoops for $2. (See last year's scoop.)

This year G got German chocolate cake;

Drew got a scoop of nutty coconut and one of cookies 'n cream;

strawberry cheesecake for BB; and I had a scoop of world class chocolate and a scoop of very berry strawberry.

Like last year, the 31-cent scoop night somehow coincides with the firefighters' annual boot drive – this year they had little plastic fire hats to give the kids.
