The fall session of swim lessons began this week. Instead of everyday classes as it was in the summer, they'll meet Mondays and Wednesdays for four weeks, which will dovetail nicely with our Tuesday/Thursday school schedule.
I accompanied them yesterday because Drew had business in Omaha, and in watching them (from behind the glass in the long hallway of parents and grandparents) I remembered something of my own swim lessons as a kid: there's a lot of sitting around on the edge waiting for your turn and not a whole heck of a lot of actual swimming going on.
