All week we've been anticipating Yee-Wen AhYee's arrival: she's spending her Christmas break away from NYC with us. G's talked about her, a cousin on my mom's side, with much excitement as someone who we can speak Chinese with, etc., even said she remembered YW AhYee from the last time we saw her, which was not long after BB was born (left). On Friday, when YW AhYee was supposed to arrive, when her flight was canceled by a snow storm covering the entirety of NY state, G even reminded me on several occasions that we were going to go to the airport later to pick her up. When we finally did pick YW up this evening, G wouldn't say anything to her, I don't know whether out of shyness or tired crankiness: it was getting passed their bedtimes. BB was just starting to warm up to YW with little smiles when we all bowled back into the car – it's single digits here not counting the wind chill! – to go home, the older two falling asleep along the way.
