Attack of the Flies

We had a major infestation of (house) flies earlier this week. There were a few isolated battles over the weekend, but on Monday I happened to look up into the window above our front entrance and there were at least a dozen there! No use chasing them one by one with a swatter, so I got out my vacuum, attached both extension tubes and obliterated the horde. One got away, but he only ended up leading me to the second horde, also about a dozen, in the downstairs bedroom window. During lunch, I found another half dozen in the kitchen window, which I swatted individually. There have been a few hangers-on in the last couple of days, but thankfully no fresh wave of attacks.
