We're Official!

Once we ring in the new year, Alaskans get cracking on their PFD applications, though the actual payout doesn't come until October. This is the first year we've been able to apply so you could say we're official Alaskans now. :) I don't know if this is always the case, but there were a number of rigorous and sometimes poorly worded questions, and within the next 30 days, Drew and I have to show proof of identity. I also applied for the girls. Note: if BB had been born 10 days earlier, she would have qualified for the 2007 PFD. For those born in Alaska, you have only to be "present" for the one day of the year, i.e. 31 December, to qualify. A lot of people joke that children born in any month besides December are "poorly planned" because of that reason.
