Silencio!

One evening after dinner, BB and Z were playing with Shiao Bao JioJio and getting rather rowdy. In the midst of things, the building intercom sounded, the man announced that there was a package to be delivered and that it would be brought up for us. While we were waiting for the doorbell to sound, JioJio told BB that this was very serious: someone from downstairs had complained of the noise and that someone was coming to take one of us away to answer for the infraction. I could tell that at first BB wasn't really buying it, but JioJio kept building the suspense, saying, "The doorbell's going to ring soon, who do you think should answer for the noise? Maybe they'll take Mom away? Maybe they'll take you away. Maybe they'll take Z away." Finally the doorbell rang – and BB just about burst into tears for the waiting. When JioJio came back from answering the door, he told BB that they'd decided to give her another chance, but that she would have to be quiet from now on, and sure enough, she has!
