Garlic Breath

I was peeling some cloves of garlic yesterday evening when Z (above, wearing a scarf that I made) ran up and held out her hand for a piece. I popped one into her mouth, watched her chew it up, and swallow – and then she asked for another, which I gave to her. After the third piece, I said, "No more", as I was using the rest, five or six cloves, for cooking. But as soon as my back was turned, she grabbed her handy little footstool, positioned herself near the cutting board, and ate the rest of them.
