An October Thanksgiving

Elizabeth & Co put on a delicious Thanksgiving feast for us over the weekend, since we won't be able to spend the holidays with them this year. There were the usual players: turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, sweet potatoes, this corn and cream cheese with bacon (delicious!), rolls, cranberry sauce; and we brought green bean casserole, a cranberry bread, and wine.

Afterward there was a birthday pumpkin cake

and some presents for me. (They're also going to miss my birthday.)

Then we played Apples to Apples. I think that might be the first time I've ever played, I had so much fun and laughed so hard. The best round, we were playing to match the opposite of "adorable", or un-adorable. The selections for consideration: barbed wire (Drew's), pit bulls (Elizabeth's), Adolph Hitler (mine), and AIDS (Emily's). Guess who won?
