They All Fall Down

Early last week, the pediatrician gave us antibiotics for an infection in G's right ear. By Thursday evening, BB wasn't feeling too well either, for a different reason. I'd seen her poking her ears a couple of times and feared she had an ear infection too – but no. The pediatrician also ruled out anything to do with her lungs even though she had a nasty wet cough. We saw a marked improvement in her Saturday morning, but by the evening Z had developed the same cough. I suspect BB gave her a couple of good coughs full in the face as she did this morning and perpetually touching her with her grubby boogered fingers, i.e. she's always picking her nose like her big sister. Z slowly deteriorated over the course of Sunday, at one point coughing until she gagged and threw up all over my Sunday best, and running a low-grade fever. The poor thing's barely cracked a smile in the last twelve hours which is saying a lot. So what do you do with a miserably sick baby? Dose her like a good 'un.
