Ear Nose Throat and Dermoid

I took M to see an ENT doc yesterday, a consult on her dermoid. Dr Eyen was very kind to answer all my questions, and M liked him well enough to coo at him the entire appt. He confirmed that she does indeed have a dermoid cyst of the skin cell persuasion, i.e. no hair, teeth or bones included, which can easily be removed with a small incision at any time we designate. If we chose to do it sooner rather than later, he recommended waiting til she was at least six-months-old, since she would better tolerate sedation then. But waiting even five years probably wouldn't make much difference, as there's unlikely to be any significant change in size. It should be removed, however, as there's always the chance of infection with the decaying matter within the dermoid.
