Occupation: Baby

We had a visit from our occupational therapist yesterday morning. She asked me a bunch of questions regarding Z's current abilities; likes and dislikes; behavior towards change and in social situations (to rule out autism?); and observed her in play. I get the impression that Z's in the slow lane, but is in possession of subtle skills that only a therapist can appreciate, and therefore, wouldn't be difficult for her to move into a faster track. Before leaving, the therapist left a list of exercises to work on in the next month, mostly to help Z towards the next step of holding her own cup to drink and eventually wielding her own eating utensils.
