I made myself these moss terrariums after I saw them on Etsy: used some of the rocks from around the bushes in our front yard; dug up the moss along the south fence in the backyard; utilized some empty jars hanging about in the kitchen. If I were to do it again, I might have put down a layer of sand (from the beach table) on top of the rocks so the dirt from my moss wouldn't ooze to the bottom of the jar. And maybe I'd get a bigger jar, if that were lying about too. Anyway I was peering into the jar on the right one morning and I saw the tiniest snail on one of the blades(?) of moss! I shudder to think what else might be in there, but the snail is super cool.

A Teeny Tiny Snail
