Peace to All Who Enter Here

Drew and I had our first apt blessed: the priest that married us and another couple came to dinner one evening, and after dessert, Fr Brian holy watered every inch of the place. We had successfully cornered our parish priest Fr Rogers to come bless the house after M's baptism, but then he was double booked (for a 65th wedding anniversary) at the last minute: disappointing.

Long story short, we then managed to get newly-ordained Fr Harkins to come on Sunday – I left a baby shower early in order to be here – and get the job done. (There was a lot less holy water involved this time.) Do you love how we accessorized the occasion with religious sisters (and one postulant)? Sr Julia was kind enough to take pictures for us.

Afterward, we nibbled on cookies and cucumber sandwiches (Elizabeth's formula), and drank green tea. Sr Catherine, a favorite, read books to the girls.

Sr Damiana is one for holding babies. And in my hand is a little statue of the Virgin and Child that the sisters gifted to M for her baptism. (G, BB, and Z got a St Joseph picture book each.)

In an aside, I found this medal of M's namesake on Etsy.
