Official report says we got 10-12 inches. It was blustering about all morning, and coming down fast for awhile there. Drew's flight to DC – he had four whole ROWS all to himself – took off maybe 30 minutes (or less) before they shut the airport for the rest of the day. Some friends, who were also going to DC, weren't so lucky.
In the afternoon, I went out and shoveled. We have this amazing sleigh shovel, it didn't take me long to clear half the driveway, though the snow was heavy, and then a neighbor came by offering to snow-blow the rest.
See how high the snow is behind M?
Pound for pound, this is the best snow shovel evah! Look at that chunk. I amazed another neighbor, who's husband-less for the weekend – he got stranded in Chicago trying to come home – with my snow shoveling prowess.
Wonder when they're going to get around to digging out our street. Not going anywhere tomorrow, that's for sure.
