11 Months

Discovered spit bubbles, spending whole chunks of time making the "maa maa maa" noise, totally entertaining herself; for a period she made what amounted to a growling noise whenever someone play-growled at her; and she talks! She'll say "da" (and her face lights up) when she hears Drew coming; "xie" (thank you) when given something; "hao" (okay) when agreeing; I've heard her say "po baby" when she hurt herself; "gie" (sister) when calling for G; "guh" (brother) when calling for X; and most commonly we'll hear "dis" (this) -- with finger extended -- when she wants something like food or water, and then she might pat her chest to emphasize she wants it. Surely, she's had enough verbal stimulation in her young life.
