Means Business

Looking out the living room window, I noticed one of G's chickens had escaped the Peck&Play, and I said as much to the kids playing with their Christmas Legos. Next thing X is putting on his boots and wants help with his coat, "I go smack the chicken in the face." Presumably he thinks he's going to corral the errant on his own; I'm thinking he's going to get some fresh air (while chasing the chicken). G says it's alright if he uses a stick as long as he doesn't poke the chicken's eye out. Not a minute later, Drew sees a red plastic chair go flying passed the window, landing on the (collapsible) Peck&Play, missing the three chickens still inside. G goes tearing outside to collect her chicken, and Drew comments to me, "Those chickens know not to mess with him!"
