State Fair
It was raining when we got there, which meant a close parking spot (in the mud) and no crowds. We got to see other kids' 4-H projects, baby animals (pigs, sheep, goats, chicks), I chatted up the alpaca guy, Drew chatted up the master gardeners and bee keepers, there was a disturbing exhibit on bugs (spiders, millipedes, scorpions, cockroaches), lots of marching bands from all over the state, a huge exhibition of all sorts of crafts, including wine and beer, and pig races. Then the food! We had gator bites and fried pickles, spiral spuds, nachos, funnel cake, lemonade, chili cheese fries, and cotton candy. (The sun came out when we started eating, thankfully we found a table under a tree.) We all had a great time!

Bark Scorpion
Kids found it on one of pool toys (while I was at exercise class), about 3 inches long, 1/2 inch at widest. Drew killed it and fed it to the chickens.

Quote
On Monday for dessert, we tried a new sweet called Money on Honey, which has peanuts, caramel, and dark chocolate. In the midst of eating her piece, one of Z's teeth fell out, stuck in the caramel. The next day at dessert time, X announced, "I'm not going to eat that [Money on Honey], my tooth will fall out!"

Spray Bottle
Godson and family passing through town, we bought him a little gift, the spray bottle. Safe to say, he loved it. :)
