Watercolor Resist
All started when G wanted a spider web decoration for her library. Couldn't figure out how to do the cotton ball kind so my bright idea (Plan B) was hot glue since gratification more instantaneous than Elmer's. Thought we might be able to peel it from wax paper, but seems I should have used parchment paper instead. Plan C was hot glue on regular paper and watercolors.

Guest Room Library
Some weeks ago, G discovered that the public library essentially gives away their back issues of magazines, so she started bringing home issues of Ask, Ranger Rick, Highlights, etc. But what to do with them? The little ones wanted to read them too. So she started the St Joseph magazine library in the guest room.
She made everyone library cards, which for a time kept getting lost until I suggested she keep them on file at the library. There's a check out station, a shelf for displaying the magazines.
The new reading nook (bean bag) to prevent patrons from lounging on the bed, a book drop (above), and even a story time. I have to laugh that the girls have read more magazines (and learned so many interesting factoids like the longest earthworm measured 22 feet!) in the last few weeks than they have in all the six years that we've been going there.
