Girls had a field trip (with homeschooling group) to the Anita Gorman Discovery Center last week.
BB and Z were in the Being Bears class, they learned about bear anatomy, what they eat, they tried climbing a tree. G's class was all about birds (e.g. anatomy, habitat with emphasis on ones seen in Missouri, watching, feeding), which fits in beautifully with her science unit this year.
I took M and M2 to walk around the Plaza in the morning.
Walked around the Discovery Center in the afternoon. They also have a great resource center, another homeschooling mom pointed out some great posters that she has.
G built this bird feeder for class.
She and BB primed (leftover from Drew's house painting job) and painted it red.

Another Santiago Cake
Second recipe of this post. Deviated by using almond meal (coarser grind and almonds un-blanched) and adding a splash of sherry (Spanish brandy would have been better), would cut back on sugar even more than I did as still too sweet.

Awaiting Me at Home
When I arrived home two weeks ago today, there was my happy family, a clean house,
this beautiful flower arrangement, and a fully-walking baby. It's so good to be home.
